Interactive Shadow Puppets
Shadow puppets have existed for over 2,000 years as a form of entertainment for all ages, requiring only a hand and a light. How can we create a balance between this form of non-verbal hand motion and modern technology? Interactive Shadow Puppets was created as a way to explore and answer this question.
Testers were invited up to the screen and directed to perform one of three simple hand shadow puppets–a bird, wolf or bunny.

Demonstration
the Process
Some inspiration. Before knowing what I wanted to do, I was really inspired by using shadows as a subject and how that could interact with something on a screen.
Teachable Machine was trained to recognize 3 specific hand poses: bunny, dog & bird.
